Lecturer in Human GeographyI am curious, committed, and driven by a vision of a more just and sustainable world. I am always open to connecting with fellow academics, practitioners, and anyone passionate about fostering positive environmental and societal change.
Projects:
– The Ripple Effect: Leading a research project funded by the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme (SSRP) in collaboration with Friends of the River Medway. This project investigates pathways to sustainable futures, aiming to expand across freshwater systems and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.– Paths to Sustainability: Exploring alternative narratives and approaches to sustainability through positive experiences of nature connection.
– Project Dandelion: a gamified learning experience on a University of Sussex MSc Sustainable Development online course. The module looks at different aspects of the relationship between globalisation and the environment. The module is an invitation to learn in a different way, through a gamified experience called Project Dandelion.
– The Politics of Breastfeeding: An independent study examining the gap between Public Health breastfeeding recommendations and practices in the UK through the lens of social practices.
– Teaching Excellence: I am recognised for my innovative approaches to online learning. My teaching spans courses like Globalisation and the Environment and and Market-based Solutions for Sustainable Development: pitfalls and possibilities.
